JRC’s Baltic greenhouses are fitted with long-span gutters (structural elements of the greenhouse). The gutters become photovoltaic by fitting them with solar panels. No shade is created on the crops, which does not deprive the plant of its essential need for light. They produce electricity that can either be used at the location or sold on. The idea is to maintain a 100% agronomic greenhouse and produce your own energy at the same time. It’s a product that meets both our customers’ needs: producing plants and moving towards energy autonomy.
