BRITELight is a glass that improves photosynthesis in shoots and plants by providing an additional dose of red light. This extra light is generated by transforming UV (ultraviolet) rays from natural light into red light, without altering the visible spectrum or requiring any energy source other than sunlight. As a result, plants receive their natural light, enriched with red, enabling faster growth even under lower light conditions.
BRITELight glass has the same optical properties as those commonly used for greenhouse glass or photovoltaic panels. It offers very high light transparency and can include or exclude a diffusing effect, depending on the grower’s preference.
BRITELight can replace standard greenhouse glass or be used on semi-transparent photovoltaic panels (marketed as BRITE AgroPower Light). These panels combine two key benefits: maintaining agricultural yields while generating maximum energy to support those yields. BRITE AgroPower Light thus perfectly aligns with the principles of agrivoltaics, prioritising agriculture while integrating energy production.
